Our high-quality activated carbon cloth is an excellent way to get the purification power of activated carbon in a ready to use flexible format. Created from woven carbon fibers specially treated to deliver a high level of adsorption, this clever fabric provides great flexibility so it can be used for applications in ways that our other products like granulated or pelletized activated carbon cannot.

It is lightweight and thin so is perfect for use in equipment that requires only a small amount of the product applied in layers. The product is easy to handle and can be cut into sections as required. Its structure is not affected by excessive amounts of moisture so it can be used in areas experiencing high humidity.

To produce our ACC, we carbonize woven materials such as polyester and rayon at very high temperatures which allows all of the fibers to develop small pores. This process ensures that the surface area of the cloth material is greatly expanded to provide more effective filtration. After the cloth has been carbonized, we refine the porosity by activating it with either chemicals or pressurized steam. Once the carbon cloth has been used multiple times and experiences a reduction in efficacy it can be regenerated and used again, making this an eco-friendly choice.

We offer three varieties of pre-made activated carbon cloth, but we can tailor it to your needs in a range of thicknesses and weights. We can even impregnate the ACC with a variety of common chemicals if you need to remove a specific contaminant from gasses or liquids.
