Impregnated activated carbon is produced by processing activated carbon as the raw material and impregnating it with solutions of metal salts, alkali metal hydroxides, acids, or other compounds, followed by refining through calcination and drying at temperatures ranging from 130°C to 180°C. Impregnated activated carbon is specifically used to remove organic gases and vapors from the air, such as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, etc, so it plays a crucial role in purifying air in gas masks and gas canisters for protection against toxic gases.
